my journey to ux
Earlier this year I found myself in hospital with an infected cat bite. The nurse at the time was administering some antibiotics though an IV and complaining about the new system. The interface was unintuitive and impossible to search! I remarked about it, and offered some solutions thinking back to my 'human factors' course during my psychology degree.
While I've always been interested in these design solutions, it was months later I realised that there was a job that existed that perfectly balanced the research and people skills I gained from my psychology degree with the aesthetics of the work I have been doing since as an illustrator.
To formally tie these skills together I took a short course with General Assembly - which brings me here! Ready to step professionally into the world of UX and continue learning!
